These Terms of Service apply when you book, purchase, or receive treatments from Prestbury Beauty Studio. By booking an appointment or purchasing a gift voucher, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. About These Terms

These terms are designed to keep appointments running smoothly, protect your safety, and ensure every client receives a professional, high-quality service. We want your experience at Prestbury Beauty Studio to be relaxing, enjoyable, and above all, safe.

2. Bookings

Appointments can be booked online through our website or approved booking links, by phone, by email, or in person at the salon.

You are responsible for selecting the correct treatment when booking. If you are unsure which treatment is right for you, please contact us before booking — we are happy to guide you.

Some treatments, particularly advanced skin treatments and nurse-led aesthetics, may require a consultation before your appointment is confirmed.

Appointment availability is not guaranteed until you receive confirmation from us.

3. Client Information

You must provide accurate personal information when booking, including your full name, contact details, and any relevant medical, allergy, or treatment history.

For your safety, you must tell us before your treatment if any of the following apply to you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Allergies (including product or ingredient allergies)
  • Skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, or active acne)
  • Medical conditions (such as diabetes, epilepsy, or auto-immune conditions)
  • Medication you are taking (including prescription, over-the-counter, or supplements)
  • Recent surgery or cosmetic procedures
  • Any previous reaction to beauty products or treatments

This information helps us keep you safe and provide the best possible treatment. All information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Consultations & Treatment Suitability

Some treatments require a consultation before treatment can go ahead. This allows us to assess your suitability, discuss your goals, and create a safe, personalised treatment plan.

Prestbury Beauty Studio reserves the right to refuse, delay, or adapt a treatment if we believe it is not suitable or safe for you. This decision is always made with your wellbeing in mind.

For advanced skin treatments and nurse-led aesthetics, treatment plans are personalised to your skin, goals, and lifestyle. Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed.

5. Patch Tests

Certain treatments — including tinting, lash treatments (including LVL), and some skin treatments — require a patch test at least 24–48 hours before your appointment.

If a patch test is required and has not been completed within the correct timeframe, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Patch tests are carried out for your safety and are non-negotiable.

6. Deposits & Payments

Some appointments may require a deposit or full payment at the time of booking. Deposits secure your appointment time.

Final payment is due at the time of your appointment unless paid in advance. We accept card payments and other methods as displayed in the salon.

Prices may vary depending on treatment type, add-ons, or the outcome of your consultation. We will always make the cost clear to you before we begin any treatment.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least 48 hours.

Late cancellations (within 48 hours of your appointment) may result in the loss of your deposit or a reasonable cancellation fee. This reflects the time we have reserved especially for you and the difficulty of filling appointments at short notice.

If you do not attend your appointment without letting us know (a no-show), you may be charged for the appointment and may be asked to pay upfront for future bookings. We always aim to be fair and reasonable — if there are exceptional circumstances, please talk to us.

8. Lateness

If you arrive late, we may need to shorten or adapt your treatment to avoid delaying other clients. In some cases, we may need to reschedule.

The full treatment price may still apply if your appointment time has been reserved, even if the treatment duration is reduced.

If we are running late, we will do our best to keep you informed and will always aim to provide your full treatment time.

9. Treatment Results

Results vary from client to client depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, aftercare, medical history, and individual response to treatment.

While we always aim for the best possible outcome, we cannot guarantee identical results for every client. Before and after photos are examples only and do not promise a specific result for you.

10. Aftercare

Please follow the aftercare advice we give you after your treatment. Good aftercare protects your results, reduces the risk of complications, and helps you get the most from your appointment.

Failure to follow aftercare advice may affect your treatment results. For advanced skin treatments and aesthetics, aftercare is especially important and will be explained in detail during your appointment.

11. Contraindications & Refusal of Treatment

We may need to refuse, stop, or adapt treatment in the following circumstances:

  • It is unsafe to proceed based on the information provided
  • You have not disclosed relevant health, medical, or lifestyle information
  • A required patch test has not been completed
  • You appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Your behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate
  • The treatment is not suitable for you

12. Refunds

Our treatment prices reflect the time, expertise, products, and care involved in providing your service.

If you are unhappy with your treatment for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review your concern. We want you to be happy with your experience and will always listen.

Where appropriate, we may offer advice, a correction, a partial refund, or another fair solution depending on the circumstances. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

13. Nail Repairs

If you experience an issue with your nails shortly after your treatment, please contact us within a reasonable timeframe and provide clear photos where possible.

We may offer a repair where the issue appears to be related to the treatment itself. Repairs are assessed individually.

Damage caused by everyday wear, lifestyle factors, picking, biting, impact, failure to follow aftercare advice, or normal nail growth will not typically be covered.

14. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated on the voucher. Please check the expiry date.
  • Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Lost or stolen vouchers may not be replaced — please treat them like cash.
  • Gift vouchers must be presented or verified at the time of booking or at your appointment.
  • Expired vouchers may not be accepted unless agreed by the salon on a discretionary basis.
  • Gift vouchers can be used for treatments only unless otherwise stated.

15. Offers & Promotions

  • Offers and promotions are subject to availability.
  • Offers cannot usually be combined with other promotions unless stated.
  • We reserve the right to amend or withdraw promotions at any time.
  • Promotional treatments must be booked and taken within the offer period unless otherwise stated.

16. Online Booking & Website Use

You must not misuse our website, submit false information, or attempt to interfere with the website's functionality.

Information on our website is for general guidance and does not replace a professional consultation. Treatment descriptions, prices, and availability are subject to change.

17. Medical Disclaimer

Prestbury Beauty Studio provides beauty, skin, and aesthetic treatments. Information on our website, social media, or in marketing materials should not be treated as medical advice. If you have a medical concern, please speak to a qualified medical professional before booking.

18. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your personal belongings while visiting the salon. Prestbury Beauty Studio is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items unless caused by our negligence.

19. Children & Guests

For safety, comfort, and to maintain a relaxing environment, children and additional guests may not be suitable during certain appointments. We may ask you to attend alone for treatments where safety, privacy, or concentration is required. Please check with us before bringing children or guests to your appointment.

20. Behaviour Policy

We are committed to maintaining a respectful, welcoming environment for all clients and staff. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service, both now and in the future.

21. Changes to Services & Prices

Prices, treatments, and availability may change from time to time. We aim to keep our website and booking information up to date. The latest pricing and treatment information will always be available on our website or by contacting the salon directly.

22. Liability

Prestbury Beauty Studio will provide all services with reasonable care and skill, in line with industry standards.

We are not responsible for issues arising from inaccurate client information, failure to follow aftercare advice, undisclosed medical conditions or contraindications, or matters outside our reasonable control.

23. Complaints

If you have a concern about any aspect of your experience, please contact us as soon as possible. We will listen carefully and aim to deal with complaints fairly, professionally, and promptly.
